How This Site Works
We believe in transparency. Here's exactly how Copper State Home Pros operates, where its facts come from, and how we sustain the site.
Where the Facts Come From
The tables on this site are researched by us from official sources: the Arizona Administrative Code and Arizona Revised Statutes, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Service, and each city's own website. Every row shows the page it was read from and the date we read it. When we could not confirm an answer, we say "check with the city" and link to the city; we do not guess.
Rules change and we can make mistakes. Confirm any permit, code or license requirement with your city or county building inspector or with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors before you start work, and email hello@copperstatehomepros.com if you find an error.
What We Are
- A free guide for homeowners and contractors to Arizona permit, code and license rules
- An independent publisher: not a government agency, and not affiliated with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, NOAA, the National Weather Service or any city
- An operator of other websites in Arizona, described below
What We Are Not
- Not a business directory. This site lists no businesses and grades none
- Not a data broker. We never sell your personal information to anyone
- Not legal advice. Nothing here replaces your city, your county or an attorney
Our Other Arizona Sites
We also run directories of local businesses in Arizona: 602 HVAC, 602 Plumbing Pros, 602 Electric, 602 Pool Pros and 602 Garage Pros. Where one of them covers a trade and an area, this site links you to it. Those links are our own sites, not independent recommendations, and a link here is not an endorsement of any business listed there.
Revenue
We make money by selling leads, calls and placement on our directories to contractors. That is what the contractor page is for. No contractor pays for, edits or influences a row in the tables on this site or what a guide here says about a permit, code or license.
Your Information
This site has no form for homeowners. The one form is for contractors who want to talk to us; what happens to it is in our privacy policy. Messages from that form are not sent to any business.
Editorial Independence
Our guides and cost pages are written independently, and each states the sources behind its rules and figures. No business has editorial input or approval over what we publish.
